Dr. Johnson updated photoPamela J Johnson DDS, MS completed her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees at Marquette University in 1983 and 1987. She continued her educational training to complete a General Practice Residency Program in dental surgery at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in 1987-1988. Dr. Johnson completed her Masters Degree in Science and obtained her specialty license in Orthodontics from the University of Illinois in 1991.

Dr. Johnson is Board Certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, which is the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists.  She is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Illinois Society of Orthodontics and the Midwest Society of Orthodontics.  Dr. Johnson has been a member of the Northern Illinois Dentofacial Study Club for the past 14 years and served 2 terms as president.

Dr. Johnson has helped teach several courses at the University of Illinois Dental School over the years. She has lectured on how to treat special needs patients in the orthodontic office at the Autism One Conference held here in Chicago for the past 4 years.   She also guest lectures at local study club meetings. 

Dr. Johnson has been in private practice in Willowbrook, IL since 1991. She has a well-rounded orthodontic practice where she treats both children and adults. Her cases involve everything from simple expanders on seven year-old patients to complex orthognathic surgery and complicated multi-disciplinary adult cases. Dr. Johnson utilizes state of the art braces and is also a certified premier Invisalign provider.  Dr. Johnson has extensive experience treating special needs patients. Dr. Johnson and her staff were honored with the iPractice Award in 2007, featured on pinktooth.net.

Dr. Johnson is a native of Wisconsin and has lived in DuPage County, IL since 1987.  She has three children, Austin, Tyler, and Emily.  In her non-work hours she enjoys outdoor sports and recreation (which include golf, skiing, kayaking), international travel and a good book. 

Dr. Johnson is very involved in her community. She has been a sponsor of the Special Olympics of Illinois, DuPage Easter Seals, District 58 Education Foundation, the Willowbrook/Burr Ridge Children's Softball League, the Downers Grove D.O.L.L. Girl's Softball League, and the Downers Grove FISH Food Pantry, to name a few.  She has also been a member of the Hinsdale High School Career Mentor Program.
