Your first appointment is a clinical exam to determine your orthodontic needs. Dr. Johnson will examine the alignment of your teeth and jaws, as well as evaluate your facial balance. She will discuss any orthodontic needs and different treatment options with you.

Our New Patient Coordinator will present treatment fees and formulate a customized payment plan for you. All insurance questions will also be answered.

If treatment is indicated, the next step is to complete orthodontic diagnostic records. These records help Dr. Johnson develop an individualized treatment plan to meet the needs of each patient. They are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under Dr. Johnson's care.

Diagnostic records include:
  • Plaster models of the teeth.
  • Digital photographs of the patient's teeth, gum tissue and face.
  • Digital x-rays of the jaws and teeth.
We use high-tech digital radiography in our office to offer our patients decreased levels of radiation and better quality x-rays.

The next appointment is when your braces are placed and takes approximately 90 minutes. Thereafter, you will typically see Dr. Johnson on regular intervals scheduled eight weeks apart for adjustments, which take 15 to 30 minutes.

Our office hours are:

Monday & Tuesday: 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday & Thursday: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

We have a 24-hour emergency service available to our patients.

We make every effort to be on time for our patients. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. We appreciate 24 hours notice for cancellations.
